Statistical and Research Analyst III (BB30/ 61121642), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range: $37,860.00 (minimum) - $53,957.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Some travel may be required.

Duties
Duties Include, but are not limited to:

Produces comprehensive reports detailing student demographics, enrollment statistics, faculty workload, course information, and other pertinent institutional data to facilitate informed decision-making for both routine and ad hoc purposes. Develops functional and accessible reports and dashboards tailored to organizational needs. Thoroughly documents report processes and methodologies. Ensures the precision and integrity of reports through rigorous validation procedures.

Develops efficient processes and programs to enhance efficiency in data collection and analysis utilizing statistical software. Routinely conducts reviews of established processes and programs for accuracy and reliability. Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation to support effective management of processes and statistical programs.

Coordinates the management of the early alert system, including the training of faculty and staff on its utilization. Maintains the integrity of data within the system to ensure its reliability for generating University reports. Distributes pertinent data to University leadership for informed decision-making.

Collaborates internally within the department and across University departments to refine and optimize information requirements related to data collection, utilization, and analysis. Communicates complex data analyses and topics to various stakeholders, through both written and verbal means.

Conducts inferential and descriptive statistical analyses to guide the design, analysis, and presentation of intricate quantitative and qualitative research and statistical studies. Develops and executes strategies for research sampling, data collection, analysis, and presentation methodologies and procedures.



Qualifications
Required Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree and professional experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantified data. A master’s degree in statistics may be substituted for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: A master’s degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, or related quantitative field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated analytical, programming, and writing skills; excellent interpersonal skills to manage multiple projects, meet ambitious deadlines, and work independently; the ability to present information effectively, both orally and in writing.
