Job Description
The Conway Medical Center College of Health and Human Performance, Department of Nursing and Health Sciences at Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level, effective August 2025. The highly qualified candidate will play an integral role in the continued development of the new degree program in Health Sciences.
Candidates must possess an earned Doctorate in an academic discipline related to the health sciences or healthcare fields (ABD considered); evidence of health-related scholarly productivity; excellence in teaching; record of program/curriculum development and community/public engagement. Primary teaching responsibilities will include courses related to the health professions and professional development in healthcare fields. Other course responsibilities depend on the candidate's area of expertise (e.g., introductory pathophysiology/microbiology, pharmacology, etc.). The position requires undergraduate student advisement, mentoring undergraduate students, development and supervision of field/clinical experiences, and establishing a record of scholarship and professional service/outreach. The successful candidate will be expected to help develop and advance the curriculum, develop new academic and clinical experiences, contribute to program assessment, and collaborate with related programs at both the community and academic levels.
