Responsibilities
Successful candidate for this position will: Provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance, support of college business applications—Electronic Medical Health Records (EMR), Student Records—and respective databases; ensure logical data models are mapped effectively and efficiently into physical data models that take advantage of the characteristics of the database management systems (DBMS) used by the college; technically administer and support multiple databases and applications that run college-wide business processes; manage databases and applications in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Qualifications
Candidates must have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (foreign equivalent degree is acceptable); demonstrable experience in management and development of database systems; implementation of database backup strategies and recovery plans; data modeling, managing and maintaining clinical datasets; enterprise network security and management of information security; customer service; developing, designing, and deploying Point and Click entry templates and reports; analyzing customer needs to design functional and user-friendly templates and reports; maintaining required training and credentials for HIPAA, FERPA, and HITECH regulations and college procedures; working with limited supervision.
