Position Summary:

The Lead Salesforce Developer will be a key member of our technical Advancement CRM team, responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of custom code-based Salesforce solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, extensive hands-on development experience, and the ability to provide technical leadership to a team of administrators and analysts.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various partners to collect requirements, design scalable solutions, and ensure consistency to Salesforce standard methodologies. Additionally, the Lead Salesforce Developer will play a crucial role in issue resolution and providing technical support for Salesforce applications, ensuring their continued success and efficiency within the organization. The Lead Salesforce Developer reports to the Assistant Director of CRM and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff system. This position does not have managerial or HR responsivities.



Where You Will Work:

The CU System Office of Advancement follows a “flexibility first” approach to work that defines how we manage and make use of in-person time. As a fully remote position, this role will work remotely with the exception of four separate callback weeks per year— when all our colleagues are expected to be together in the office. During callback weeks, this role is expected to work from the CU System office at 1800 Grant St. in Denver, Colorado. Any additional in-office time will be determined by your manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Salesforce Development and Customization:

Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom Salesforce applications and solutions to meet business requirements.
Expertise in coding Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies to create scalable and efficient solutions.
Technical Leadership:

Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of Salesforce administrators and analysts.
Mentor and coach peers to enhance their technical skills and understanding of Salesforce standard processes.
Architecture and Design:

Architect robust, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
Collaborate with partners to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Integration and Data Management:

Integrate Salesforce with other enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, API, and other integration techniques.
Implement and optimize data migration and data integration processes.
Governance and Best Practices:

Ensure alignment to Salesforce development standard methodologies, coding standards, and security guidelines.
Oversee and perform code reviews to maintain code quality and identify areas for improvement.
Manage confidential, protected, and proprietary institution and client data, ensuring designs meet business compliance and security requirements.
Issue Resolution and Support:

Provide expert in-depth technical support for Salesforce applications.
Identify and resolve code-based Salesforce issues in a timely manner.
Work closely with end-users to understand and address their requirements and difficulties.
Growth & Development with Salesforce Trends:

Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce features, functionalities, and industry best processes.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies or tools that can enhance Salesforce development processes.


What We Offer:

Salary: The anticipated hiring range has been established at $125,000-$130,000.

CU System Administration takes into consideration a combination of the selected candidate’s education, training and experience as it relates to the position, as well as the position’s scope and complexity, internal pay equity and external market value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
