Accounting and Finance Director – Speros FL

 

Position Highlights:

  • To support or direct analyses and monitoring of project financial modeling, enterprise-wide models, landco, devco, leasing models
  • Financial reporting and extensive interaction with Moffitt accounting and finance team to convey information necessary to ensure accurate accounting treatment by Moffitt accounting and finance team, budgeting and reporting thereof, including variance analyses
  • Certain accounts receivable and revenue tracking, certain accounts payable and expense tracking financial and credit analyses of potential financial counterparties such as REITs, private equity, VC, etc.
  • Support evaluation of transaction documents, deal structuring and contractual provisions
  • Will jointly oversee with VP of Finance/Chief Commercial Officer solicitation and negotiation on financings for joint ventures with real estate developers and other potential JV partners
  • Capital raises from public and private equity, real estate investment trusts, family offices and others.
  • Will be responsible for developing 1-year, 3-year, 5-year, 10-year, 20-year forecasts for revenues and expenses and capital funding.

Responsibilities:

  • Presentations to SPEROS Community Development District Board and senior staff as needed
  • Directs and overseas the development of the SPEROS "CDD" budget, board meeting packages and internal & external financial reporting (including audited financial statements).
  • Directs budget development, budget monitoring, reporting of variances (revenue and expense), billing and accounts receivables.
  • Collaborates with Finance, MRI, MMG and COO team members as needed for projects/prospects that will involve collaborations with these groups
  • Collaborates with VP and CDD management and/or consultants retained for district management role
  • Support development of a reliable system to monitor and report contract obligations, leases, CDD requirements, funding documents, JV agreements as noted in related documents. Ensures each contract deliverable has an action plan, report gaps in the delivery of contractual obligations, manage and notify team of key milestones in contracts
  • Provides direction and guidance to other departments regarding SPEROS FL, leadership, other Moffitt departments, other Moffitt governance committees, and strategic partners.
  • Develops marketing materials for potential partners and tenants, financial forecasting for component projects, and special studies and analyses for strategic projects and initiatives (e.g. life science support cluster or a clinical services cluster) including potential industry alliances, joint or special ventures, lease structures and a variety of other potential equity and debt funding sources with 3rd parties.
  • Champions best practices and assesses process improvement opportunities that drive improved documentation of processes, analytics, accountability, efficiency and productivity.

Education and Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – field of study: Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare, or Real Estate
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, budget development and monitoring, development of proformas, contracts management and analysis of alternative financing sources/capital markets and transaction execution support included in the 10 total years' experience required, the candidate should also have seven (7) years accounting and finance experience.
  • C.P.A. (Certified Public Accountant)
    • **In lieu of CPA, a minimum of three additional years' experience in healthcare financial analytics support roles, including financial analysis, decision support, planning and healthcare economics may be considered, for a total of 13 years' experience
