Job Description

Title: Director of Training and Performance Quality Management

Schedule: Full Time/ Day shift, M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm

Main Objective:

The primary role of the Director of Training and Performance Quality Management is to provide support to the Vice President, Ambulatory Services and Senior Director, Patient Access. This role will also work with senior management to ensure that Moffitt's Patient Access training and quality initiatives are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. The DTPQM will have oversight of the Infusion scheduling team, and the leaders and staff within.

Job Summary: 

This position is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the
Organization's performance quality management system. This position also has a responsibility to:

  • Onboard and train new 'offshore' support vendors as/when needed.
  • Developing and implementing quality policies, procedures, and standards
  • Leading and managing the quality assurance team; and conducting quality audits.
  • This position would need to develop a key relationship with the legal team in developing and maintaining existing contracts.
  • Provide project oversight, data analysis, quality control, relationship-building, and decision-making for continual improvement of the Ambulatory Services and Patient Access departments.
  • Forge collaborative relationships with key provider/operational/executive stakeholders to ensure that Infusion scheduling exceeds their established metrics.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Seven (7) years of related healthcare Patient Access/ Revenue Cycle experience (i.e., Registration, scheduling, auditing, training, and performance improvement) are required.
  • Three (3) years of progressive supervisory experience is required.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support to departments and promote employee
    development.
  • Proven analytical ability and organizational skills necessary to organize/assess information and evaluate
    recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in auditing and/or investigating patient complaints and/or errors identified when scheduling for the organization.
