James M. Hull College of Business at Augusta University seeks qualified applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in Management at the Assistant Professor level, with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2024. Selected candidate must have a demonstrated capability or potential in developing discipline relevant peer-reviewed intellectual contributions is required. About 40% of workload will be dedicated to research and faculty development. Course load will be 2-3 courses per semester term, or about 50% of workload. Candidates should be prepared to deliver courses online, as hybrid online/face-to-face, and face-to-face with a strong preference for candidates who can combine these approaches in an assigned section.

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in James M. Hull College of Business
Work collaboratively with program faculty to maintain the rigor, high standards, and consistency of courses that attract, retain, and prepare a diverse population of students to meet workforce demands.
Scholarship - 40
Engaging in notable scholarly activity and research
Service - 10
Service to the College, University, Community, and the Profession
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold (or receive before start of employment) a PhD in management or closely related field.
Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member
Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be:
- Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation;
- Evidence of ability as a teacher;
- Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
- Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
- Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, experience, and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
Effective teaching experience in Strategic Management at the undergraduate and graduate level
Published or forthcoming peer-reviewed publications in management and related disciplines
Interest in interaction and relationship-building with local businesses, industry, and stakeholders
Online teaching experience
Shift/Salary/Benefits
This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter and yearly contract.
The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0.
Assistant Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
