Responsibilities include coordinating, collaborating, and providing staff support for the clinical placements of students in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

Coordinates and manages clinical placement needs in collaboration with the CON Clinical Liaisons and Program Leadership

Utilizes the clinical placement system (i.e. Student Max) to submit clinical placement requests for groups of students and preceptorships as required to meet clinical affiliate deadlines.

Prepares reports of clinical activities that are required and requested.

Identifies, recommends, and maintains relationships with clinical partners, preceptors, and the community for the purpose of further development and support of clinical affiliates.

Creates and maintains databases of clinical sites, preceptors, and credentialing requirements.

Collaborates with CON program leadership and faculty to ensure student compliance with clinical placement requirements and processes.

Provides student training with credentialing processes and institutional requirements as needed.

Works closely with the staff associate responsible for contracts and affiliation agreements in the CON to initiate, review, revise and maintain contracts and agreements.

Collaborates with the CON Communications Strategist to ensure marketing needs and recruitment potentials are communicated and strategies developed and implemented.

Maintains accurate records regarding clinical placements and preceptors (i.e. PTI - Preceptor Tax Incentive Program).

Other duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related program experience in a progressively responsible position in a hospital or academic setting with directly related clinical rotation programs experience.

Previous experience in basic hospital organization, hospital/clinic systems, or academic health professions education.

Knowledgeable of Augusta University's policies and procedures or similar practices.

ABILITIES

Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.

KNOWLEDGE

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases.

SKILLS

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.

Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Band: 9

Salary: $48,800.00/Annually 

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
