Job Description

Caldwell University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration in the School of Business and Computer Science. This is a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative faculty in a dual appointment in the Leadership and Management Department. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Teach on-campus and on-line graduate and undergraduate courses in healthcare administration, including but not limited to healthcare management, healthcare policy, healthcare finance, and healthcare analytics.

Teach on-campus and online graduate and undergraduate business courses in management, leadership, and related fields.

Develop and deliver engaging and effective instruction, utilizing innovative teaching methodologies such as experiential learning.

Advise undergraduate and graduate students.

Participate actively in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation activities.

Engage in scholarly activity, including research, publications, presentations, and professional development.

Participate in Departmental, School and University service (e.g., standing committees).

Contribute to the intellectual life of the University.

Support the Dominican Catholic liberal arts mission of Caldwell University.



Job Requirements:

Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field. ABD candidates will be considered.

Interest in student research and a commitment to scholarly activity.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body and faculty.

Commitment to student success and professional development.



Preferred qualifications include:

Professional experience in healthcare administration with focus in data analytics.

Teaching experience in healthcare administration, including online and use of learning technologies.

Interest in interdisciplinary research and collaborations.

Experience working with first-generation college students.
