Essential Functions
Manages post-award activities in compliance with University, state, federal, and sponsor guidelines.
Under the supervision of and with support from the CLA Director of Research Program Services, acts as the primary liaison for the college to the Office of Contracts and Grants Accounting and to Procurement and Business Services pertaining to sponsored program needs.
Manages implementation of post award financial actions, working in conjunction with CLA researchers, Contracts and Grants Accounting, and departmental administrators to ensure accuracy in personnel and financial activities for sponsored programs.
Maintains consistent lines of communication with faculty and staff.
Serves as an administrative resource to faculty and departmental staff to provide guidance during post award management.
Collaborates with CLA Director of Finance and HR departments to review cost transfers and expenditures with the goal of reducing transfers where possible and increasing efficiency.
Provides detailed financial monitoring and analysis for contracts and grants, ensuring timely and accurate accounting of grants and contracts.
With the ADR and Director, develops metrics and reports for college administration and faculty on research expenditures, funded awards, faculty engagement, etc.
Reviews and reconciles accounts for expenditure compliance with contracts and grants, and supports resolution of conflicts and complications arising from implementation of sponsored programs in finance and personnel matters.

Bachelor’s degree in field appropriate to the position.
5 years experience in developing research opportunities, grant preparation, grant accounting with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and accountability.
