Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Admissions Communications in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions leads, manages, and implements admissions communications strategies and plans (email, text, web, social, event communications, and surveys) to recruit new freshmen, transfer, dual-enrolled, and transient students into Augusta University's seven undergraduate academic colleges. The Assistant Director supports the enrollment goals of the university by distributing and tracking mass communication efforts targeted to prospective students, tracks prospective student engagement, conducts recruitment data analysis, manages contacts, and generates reports. The Assistant Director executes these strategic communications through the Admissions Customer Relations
Management system (CRM), Slate by Technolutions.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
DEVELOPMENT OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS RECRUITMENT STRATEGIES: Develops, schedules, and executes targeted communication campaigns to prospective students to recruit and enroll them at Augusta University. Manages Admissions print marketing collateral design and implementation. Collaborates with marketing and communications vendors including but not limited to ZeeMee, CampusESP, and RNL.
MANAGES CUSTOMER SERVICE EFFORTS: Hires, trains, and supervises one staff member and several student staff members to assist prospective students and their families throughout the college selection and transition process. Coordinates inbound inquiries, phone calls, walk-ins, and customer service.
COMPILES AND ANALYZES ADMISSIONS COMMUNICATION DATA: Compiles and analyzes admissions data related to demographic characteristics, frequency of contact, program of study, etc. Creates multi-level prospect to yield analysis, contributing to the development of marketing and recruitment communications strategies.
MANAGES THE OFFICE OF UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS SOCIAL MEDIA: Develops engaging social media strategies to engage prospective students while keeping them informed of important steps. Maps out a social media campaign strategy that is complementary to recruitment and yield efforts, including the ongoing management and creation of events and communications on Instagram, ZeeMee, CampusESP, and other platforms.
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF UNDERGRAD WEBSITES: Updates and maintains websites, working with system experts on the development and testing of web enhancements, and analyzing and interpreting web analytics to guide decision making.
SERVES AS AN ON-SITE ADMISSION COUNSELOR: Advises prospective students, families, and the public to recruit students to Augusta University. Assists with admissions recruitment and special events both on-site and off-site. Monitors, tracks, distributes, and, when appropriate, answers incoming emails from prospective students, family members, and high school/community college counselors.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned to support the recruitment and enrollment of new students to Augusta University.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two years of experience in recruitment, marketing, customer services, or higher education. Valid Driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience with managing a CRM in higher education, preferably Slate.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
, operating systems, spreadsheets, and other technologies (Slate, Crystal, Banner)
Understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram
SKILLS
Basic design skills for editing/creating social media posts and basic print publications. Basic web editing/design skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and lead others in providing the same.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday *Work outside of regular business hours may be required
Pay Band:B10
Salary: $52,500/annually - $54,080/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
