Job Summary
Augusta University's Katherine Reese Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Department of Music seeks to fill an Administrative Assistant position. We seek individuals who, under general supervision, can provide responsible administrative and secretarial support for the department.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT TO THE CHAIR AND DEPARTMENT: Answering, screening, and transferring calls. Assist with copying classroom material, exams, and assist students by directing them to the appropriate faculty member. Processing paperwork to obtain the proper signatures. Creation of concert programs for musical events. Budget maintenance for the music department and music ensembles. Handle reservation requests for the FAC Recital Hall. Work with the AU Foundation and Financial Aid Offices to facilitate the distribution of student scholarships. Provide supervision of work-study and student assistants. Work with the AU Conservatory Director to facilitate day-to-day operations. Coordinate the transfer of assets between offices/rooms/other departments/surplus. Maintain IT and music instrument inventory in the department and the system. Coordinate faculty hiring paperwork for applications and searches. Create requisitions for purchases. Submit ePARs for distribution changes, salary changes, etc. Maintain inventory records for the department. Maintain student files. Assist faculty with travel reimbursements.
Compile and store all syllabi. Assist faculty with IT requests, classroom changes, and research needs. Assist the chair in accreditation/assessment requirements from NASM
OTHER DUTIES: Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.
OR
High School Diploma, GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and six years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Word and other computer software.
Knowledge of Banner, Excel, PeopleSoft HRMS and Financials, Crystal, and DocuSign.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal,
Detailed oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Experience/participation in a collegiate music program.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
