The University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law seeks a full-time, clinical professor to supervise law students in its Immigration Law Clinic commencing July 1, 2025. The Immigration Law Clinic - located off-campus in downtown Louisville – provides critical legal services to the public; teaches law students necessary skills to successfully practice law; and develops a pipeline of immigration law attorneys. Initial funding for the clinic - $1.5million – has been provided by the Kentucky legislature. The new director will be responsible for working with the Dean to secure additional funding for the clinic.

Brandeis Law students, through the clinic, represent clients who are authorized to be present in the United States/Commonwealth of Kentucky but do not have the requisite documentation and need legal assistance to obtain the required documents. The Brandeis School of Law is looking for an experienced immigration attorney to serve as our clinical professor/clinic director.

Applicants: Applicants for this position should have a distinguished practice background and academic credentials and a strong commitment to teaching, service, professional ethics, and collegiality. Successful candidates must be licensed to practice law (preferably in Kentucky) and have a minimum of five years’ experience handling immigration law matters. Preference will be given to candidates with ten or more years’ experience and some teaching experience.
