The Instructional Design and Technology team of the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning is seeking an Instructional Design and Technology Specialist II – Course Support to maintain quality online courses by providing course duplication services, faculty consultations and just-in-time technical support. This individual will assist with the maintenance of instructional materials, accessible documents, videos, and/or other resources for courses in Blackboard. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational technology and a deep understanding of online pedagogy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare courses for faculty which includes services such as course duplication in LMS, copy content from previous developments, update content as requested
Support the Instructional Design Team in maintaining quality assurance by performing course operational consistency evaluations
Meet key performance indicators associated with faculty support services
Maintain support resources for Blackboard and related instructional technology tools
Maintain course content created by the Instructional Design Team
Execute a variety of technical functions to assist the Instructional Design Team
Assist with special projects/initiatives, including those related to quality assurance reviews, online teaching, and/or instructional design
Identify appropriate tasks for delegation and facilitate the delegation process
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with higher education faculty and instructional designers in an online learning context
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills is desired
Experience working in a learning management system (LMS)
Work Hours and Location
This is a full-time position with a 37.5 hour regular workweek. The work location for this position is at the Belknap Campus. Remote/hybrid work and flexible hours may be considered with business needs in mind.
