High school diploma or GED and two or more years of dental assisting experience. One year of surgical assisting experience and/or Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) or Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA), radiology certification, CPR certification. Additional certification may be required based on dental specialty. Grade 3 (Houlry)Position Description:
This position works chairside with the residents in our General Practice Residency clinic with various dental and surgical procedures. Located in UofL Health Jackson Street Outpatient Center.
$3,000 Sign-on/ Retention bonus eligible!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the faculty, peers, and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care within our Grad Oral Surgery and our Hospital Dentistry clinics.
- Serve as chairside assistant to residents in operating room with four handed, sedated, comprehensive dentistry.
- Stock, prepare, organize, and clean operatories and laboratories.
- Capture four types of radiographs: periapical, bitewings, panoramic, CBCT.
- Sterilize clinic instruments following appropriate infection control procedures.
- Maintain stock of supplies throughout the clinic, and order as needed.
- Greet and seat patients as needed.
- Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, and Infection Control compliance at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Requirements:
Surgical assisting experience
Intravenous Access Lines certification.
One year of surgical assisting experience
Target Compensation Maximum: $27.85
Target Compensation Minimum: $18.56

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
