Summary

The Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team and provide direct patient care at the Baylor Psychiatry Clinic.
Job Duties
- Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications as part of treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of on-site psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists to provide holistic and integrated care for patients.
- Supervision and Education: Provide supervision and mentorship to residents, fellows, and nurse practitioners, fostering their professional development.
- Interdisciplinary Communication: Liaise and collaborate with research and educational teams to integrate clinical practice with ongoing research and educational initiatives.
- Interventional Psychiatry: Provide, with potential to lead based on previous experience, and collaborate on transcranial magnetic stimulation services with the potential for further expansion of interventional psychiatry in the clinic over time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school, with completion of an approved residency program in psychiatry.
- Certification/Licensure/Registration: Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Possession of a current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in an academic medical center or a similar clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and a passion for teaching and mentorship.
