The School of Kinesiology at Ball State University invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Lecturer of Exercise Science. Candidates with a doctorate may be considered for the rank of Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor. This full-time non-tenure-line position is available August 15, 2025, for the academic year. Responsibilities include teaching in the areas such as exercise physiology, exercise prescription, fitness assessment, and anatomy; administration of the Clinical Exercise Physiology's Adult Physical Fitness Program and/or exercise testing laboratory within the Human Performance Laboratory; and active engagement in department, college, University, and professional service. This position reports to the Chair of the School of Kinesiology.

Minimum Experience:

Applicants must have a master’s degree in exercise physiology or closely related field from an accredited college or university by time of appointment.
Experience in teaching and/or exercise programming is also required.

Preferred Experience:

Preferred candidates will have an earned doctorate in exercise physiology or closely related field from an accredited college or university. Additional consideration will also be given to applicants who hold a professional certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (Exercise Physiologist [ACSM-EP], or Clinical Exercise Physiologist [ACSM-CEP]), have experience in clinical exercise programs (e.g. cardiac rehabilitation), and experience mentoring or supervising students.
