Job Description

Summary

The renowned Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified research technologist to work in the laboratory of Dr. Masataka Suzuki. The laboratory’s research focuses on cancer immunotherapies, specifically oncolytic viro-immunotherapy and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, to improve the treatment of various solid tumors. Dr. Suzuki is planning to further improve and evaluate these agents in in vitro and in vivo models.

Job Duties

  • Performs routine technical laboratory procedures listed below with supervisor.
  • Conducts molecular biology experiments.
  • Performs in vitro assays using both human immune and cancer cells.
  • Performs small animal experiments.
  • Enters data into research database.
  • Cleans equipment and works area.
  • Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • No experience required.
