Job Description
Summary
The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Program Management to help lead our Division’s comprehensive medical education programs. This position will lead the day-to-day interpretation and application of policies, procedures, and guidelines for our Medical Education programs, collaborating with Program Leadership and Division Administration.
This position is onsite in the Texas Medical Center and may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after an orientation period: 4-days on-site and 1-day remote.
Job Duties
- Leads the administrative responsibilities of the Division’s comprehensive Medical Education Programs: Graduate Medical Education, Undergraduate Medical Education, Resident Rotations and Electives, and Observers.
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of curricula, practices and procedures to ensure compliance with the accrediting agencies such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) as well as the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
- Uses systems such as ACGME WebADS, MedHub, American Academy of Pediatrics PediaLink, the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), National Resident Match Program (NRMP) and Survey Monkey to enter data, analyze data, and create reports.
- Manages recruitment for the program in compliance with the NRMP and the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC), assists with the on-boarding of new trainees (fellows), and ensures compliance with requirements through graduation.
- Partners with Program Directors to develop rotation schedules and publish schedules to online software system used to schedule physician and trainee hospital on-call/service schedules.
- Oversees trainee work hour compliance through MedHub to generate reports and analyzes data.
- Schedules or coordinates educational lectures, peer coaching, seminars, meetings, and other special events geared towards Faculty Development & Trainee Education.
- Serves as liaison between physician faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, international visitors and administrative staff to communicate across departments, including BCM’s Graduate Medical Education Department, BCM’s International Services Office, the American Board of Pediatrics, the ACGME, and multiple professional societies/associations.
- Informs students and faculty of deadlines and registration materials related to student programs.
- Provides programmatic and administrative support for the Program Directors, Faculty, and staff as needed.
- Partners with Division Head, Manager, and TCH Partners to help develop the annual program budget for the Renal Education Programs & Faculty Development.
- Monitors program expenses and processes financial transactions in SAP & Concur: Purchase Orders, Expense Reimbursements, Travel Requests.
- Maintains the Divisions BCM/TCH Intranet & Connect Sites.
- Serves as a liaison with Pediatrics Center for Research Advancement to help provide guidance with Fellow\'s Research Projects.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s Degree.
- Five years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
