Summary
For this research coordinator II position, we are seeking a bilingual (English-Spanish) professional with experience in clinical research studies. That will Coordinates day to day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants. Ensures accurate data collection, documentation, organization and safety of research participants.
Responsibilities will include patient enrollment from both ambulatory and hospital clinical environments (which will entail obtaining informed consent, administering an electronic REDCap survey, and drawing blood), assistance with regulatory requirements (e.g., IRB submissions and reporting), and data entry. Candidates with clinical trial experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
Availability is required on Friday mornings, as this is the designated clinic day. The remaining hours are flexible, within the range of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Duties
- Assist with regulatory filings and maintenance, such as internal review board (IRB) protocols.
- Speaking and writing in English and Spanish. Translation of documents may be needed.
- Attending study team meetings.
- Patient recruitment via telephone and in-person (in clinic).
- Patient enrollment, which will include obtaining informed consent, administering an electronic REDCap survey to study participants, drawing blood (phlebotomy), and scheduling participants for study procedures.
- Data entry into an electronic REDCap database.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in a related field.Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in science or related field.
- Experience in clinical research coordination.
- Working experience in clinical trials.
- Certificate in phlebotomy.
- Fluent in Spanish.
