Job Profile Summary

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a comprehensive mentoring program. This includes identifying and recruiting mentors, planning and facilitating mentor trainings, supervising mentors, evaluating mentoring programs, and promoting outreach events in support of the program.

  

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Minimum Experience/Training:

  • Three years of related experience with three years of supervisory or lead experience required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  


Essential Functions:

  • Daily - 25%: Plans, develops and coordinates mentoring program.  
  • Other - 15%: Identifies, recruits and hires mentors.
  • Other - 10%: Manages or coordinates the activities and work flow to ensure effectiveness of the program.  Supervises staff.
  • Other - 10%: Manages communication strategies for updating mentor information.   Assists with web page updates and other communications related to mentoring initiatives.
  • Other - 10%: Evaluates mentoring program’s effectiveness and impact.
  • Other - 10%: Plans and facilitates mentor trainings.
  • Other - 5%: Manages the program’s budget and staffing.
  • Other - 5%: Promotes and organizes outreach events in support of the program.
  • Other - 5%: Seek-out and leverage college and local community resources to benefit the mentors and mentees
  • Other - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.
