The University of Louisville Athletic Department seeks Sport Science Fellow
candidates to support the management and implementation of various sport science technologies, in addition to providing sport science services to assigned sports. This is a temporary assignment that will provide hands on experience for an emerging sport scientist. Length of assignment will be determined by the Sport Science Coordinator up to but not to exceed 6-months.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, Health and Human Performance (Exercise Science) or related field.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect and manage athlete health and performance data using relevant technologies.
Train and onboard health and performance staff with newly acquired technologies.
Fulfill assigned projects and initiatives related to the fellowship.
Participate in health and performance team meetings for assigned sports.
Contribute to the maintenance of databases and reporting systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Science or related field.
Five (5) years of related work experience.
Experience with athletic testing, data analysis, and performance tracking.
Previous experience writing research manuscripts as a graduate student, research assistant, etc.
Strong desire to pursue a sport science career in collegiate or professional sport.
Excellent time management, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
