Position Summary
The Program Administrator role will support GPH's Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Program and Global & Environmental Health Department (GEH). In collaboration with Program/Department Directors, develop academic, administrative, and strategic operations. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate new and existing programs and opportunities for DrPH and GEH students. Develop and sustain a program in urban health – including developing the Global Action for Urban Health Lab and providing administrative and programmatic support to elective courses in urban health. Direct the daily administration of all program activities and serve as the academic advisor to all DrPH students. Foster existing relationships and develop new relationships with organizations to provide Advanced Applied Practice Experience placement opportunities for DrPH students. Continuously engage with prospective and current students, DrPH faculty mentors and DrPH committee members. Cultivate and maintain relationships across the School, the University, and with global professionals to promote a high-quality urban health program at NYU. Conduct needs assessments, analyze data, and make recommendations for process or service improvement.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree with concentration or course work in public health, business or public administration, international development, or a related field.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in public health, public administration, international development, higher education, or related fields.

Required Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination

Preferred Experience:
Experience working with faculty and students in a higher education institution.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex spreadsheets that require analysis and making recommendations from this data. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels and to work independently with minimal direction. Ability to work and communicate with diverse stakeholders. Strong teamwork abilities. Attention to detail with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of diverse cultures and customs. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience with development and fundraising in a non-profit setting a plus
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $64,321.20 to USD $78,614.80. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
