Overview

Saint Mary's College seeks to hire a per-course adjunct faculty member to teach PHED 101, Weight Training, in Fall 2024.

Days/Times: TBD

This course will introduce students to basic resistance training techniques with an emphasis on safety and an understanding of muscle groups and biomechanical principles. Students will develop and participate in their own strength enhancement programs.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, enrollment in Master's degree program or Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of weight lifting instruction, or minimum 3 years participation in weight lifting activity.

Candidates must reside in California

Salary: $2,482-$3,436 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
