Job Description

Ball State University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-track position for a Instructor of Sociology to teach four classes each semester. This position will be a one-year contract with possibility of renewal.

The Department of Sociology welcomes applicants for an Assistant Lecturer / Assistant Teaching Professor.

Job Function:

Minimum Experience:

Master's degree or equivalent course work in Sociology or a closely related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.

Preferred Experience:

PhD in Sociology. Area of specialization is open and will depend on department needs. Preference may be given to candidates with specialization in statistics, program evaluation, applied sociology, and race/ethnicity. Other specializations will be considered. Candidate will provide evidence of excellence in teaching at a college level including evidence of online teaching experience. Commitment to high quality teaching is essential.
