Job Description

Summary

Intern/aide will be involved introduction to lab research in stem cell and hematologic malignancies. This is 20 hours/week position.

Training Objectives:

  • Learns basic molecular biology techniques with mouse models
  • Prepares the student for a his/her filed of interest in either a pursuit of PhD or MD.

Job Duties

  • Learns how to operate all the instrumentation needed for the projects (training will be provided as needed).
  • Documents experimental procedures in precise details.
  • Collects and compiles imaging and cell culture data.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has interest in basic scientific or medical fields.
  • Currently preparing for graduate or medical school and who have optional hours each week to gain hands-on experience in a scientific laboratory setting.
