Job Description

Summary

Intern/aide will be involved introduction to lab research in stem cell and hematologic malignancies. This is 20 hours/week position.

Training Objectives:

Learns basic molecular biology techniques with mouse models
Prepares the student for a his/her filed of interest in either a pursuit of PhD or MD.

Job Duties

Learns how to operate all the instrumentation needed for the projects (training will be provided as needed).
Documents experimental procedures in precise details.
Collects and compiles imaging and cell culture data.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.

Preferred Qualifications

Has interest in basic scientific or medical fields.
Currently preparing for graduate or medical school and who have optional hours each week to gain hands-on experience in a scientific laboratory setting.
