The IT Systems Manager is responsible for the delivery of college IT systems and related infrastructure and the System Administrators, reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of IT. As a key member of the IT leadership team, this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring systems infrastructure strategy is fully aligned. This position will provide leadership in the visioning, development and implementation of the ITS infrastructure supporting all college IT needs, this includes all on primis and external (i.e. cloud) environments. This position will work closely with the Manager ITS Security to insure that the network infrastructure supports the college needs both immediate and in the future.
The position will supervise all System Administrator I’s and System Administrator II’s. S/he develops the daily work assignments for the systems administrators, providing technical guidance in design, engineering and problem solving. In addition, this position will be responsible for completing the EPA’s for each of the aforementioned positions. In this role, the position will function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the department, coordinating efforts to resolve issues and to provide direction for completion of new and existing projects, reporting and communication of the other team members. S/He will lead efforts for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of the GTCC systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. S/He will evaluate and maintain servers and systems to ensure their proper security, operation and availability. S/he reviews current systems performance indicators to assist in the management of ITS projects, tasks and staff to maximize resource use and minimize business risk. S/he also researches and provides recommendations on technology requirements for the college. These activities include technical strategy, research & development and maintenance within the documented project life cycle.
This role will monitor systems for proper operation, system maintenance and security-breaches. S/He will follow established processes to standardize overall server management; ensuring equipment for system patches and maintenance of software/firmware in addition to assisting the Associate Vice President of IT in developing departmental policies and procedures. S/He will ensure successful backups of both files and ERP data and restore data as necessary. This position works closely with department managers throughout the college to analyze technology requirements, document specifications, and provide technical solutions.
Min Salary $87,149.16
Mid Salary We offer a competitive salary package that will be determined based on the candidate's experience level and qualifications related to the job. Compensation will be commensurate with your level of experience.

Bachelor’s degree in information technology (computer science, computer information systems, programming or other related field) from an institutionally accredited college/university
Education Preferred
Master’s degree in information technology (computer science, computer information systems, programming or other related field) from an institutionally accredited college/university
Certifications
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, with Azure Administrator Associate preferred
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, with AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred
VMware Certified Professional preferred
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+ preferred
ITIL 4 Foundation preferred

Experience Required
Three years of experience as a Systems Administrator
Seven years of work experience in IT field
Three years of experience in administering a virtual environment
Experienced in leading cloud adoption (at scale), including establishing governance mechanisms, delivering migration projects and modifying target operating model
Experience in managing large multi-site network topologies using best practices for management of bandwidth and security.
Experience Preferred
Experience with Ellucian Colleague ERP system administration strongly preferred
Experience with Ellucian products, WebAdvisor, Student Self Service, E-Commerce, Colleague Portal, UniData, and Colleague Studio.
