Job Description

The Department of Marketing & Business Information Systems at Rowan University is seeking to hire a non-tenure track teaching professor in Information Systems & Analytics (ISA) with an appointment to begin September 1, 2026. ISA supports multiple majors and minors, the MBA program, and a variety of certificates at the undergraduate and graduate levels.



The Department of Marketing & Business Information Systems is specifically interested in candidates who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to teaching responsibilities, successful candidates are expected to make meaningful and substantive service contributions to undergraduate and graduate programs, the department, college, and university. Successful candidates are also expected to participate in professional development to stay current in their content area and evidence-based instructional approaches.



The mission of the Information Systems & Analytics program is to prepare students for careers in a rapidly evolving technological landscape by equipping them with the skills to analyze business challenges, identify opportunities, and design, develop, implement, and maintain data-driven business solutions through information systems and technology.

A primary responsibility of this position is teaching the college's undergraduate business technology fundamentals course, as well as other ISA courses as assigned. Courses may be offered in person or online. Candidates must be available to teach day or evening classes.

Assistant or Associate Teaching Professors are expected to hold a PhD or its professional equivalent in information systems, information systems and analytics, information technology, or a closely related field. Relevant industry experience preferred. The teaching position is a 10-month, full-time, non-tenure track appointment. Successful candidates will teach 24 credits over two semesters, with an option to teach overload and summer classes for additional compensation. Teaching Professor positions are renewable based on performance reviews and programmatic needs.

SALARY

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is:

Assistant Teaching Professor: Ranges 21-24

Associate Teaching Professor: Ranges 25-27
