Anesthesiology Technician – Orange County/Irvine (3x12-hour shifts)

The Anesthesiology Technician supports anesthesia services by preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment and supplies. This role assists with patient care activities under supervision (excluding medication administration) and ensures all monitoring and specialized equipment is ready for safe and effective use during procedures. About the OR:

  • 3 Operating Rooms and 2 Procedure rooms

  • Type of OR cases, but not limited to: Urology, GYN, Breast, Reconstructive Urology, as well as Colorectal, General, and Plastics

  • Types of Endoscopic cases, but not limited to: Colonoscopies, ERCPs, EGDs, and Bronchoscopies

  • Work Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts, 06:30am - 07:00pm

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Prepare and restock anesthesia cart with necessary equipment and supplies

  • Prepare anesthesia equipment anticipated for specific patient needs according to scheduled operations. Set up special equipment as needed.

  • Assist anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist during cases where special equipment is used.

  • Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize anesthesia equipment and checks anesthesia machines for leaks, empty tanks, etc.; prepare anesthesia equipment for next case.

Your qualifications should include:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • One-year recent experience in an acute care facility as a nursing assistant or equivalent

  • Medical terminology. Basic mathematics.

  • Current CPR certificate

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $29.79 - $44.68 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
