Job Summary
The Assistant Vice President of Workforce Training & Education reports to the Vice President for Salt Lake Tech and is responsible for providing vision, innovation, and leadership in the planning, development, identification of modality, and implementation of new courses, programs and certificates for non-credit and credit offerings, workforce education, community education and, continuing education units for licensed professionals; managing non-credit and special credit offerings, including but not limited to conducting program evaluation and facilitating non-credit to credit transfer; managing and supervising Workforce Training staff, budget and operations, including revenue generation and development cost recovery; cultivating and managing relationships with industry, including but not limited to Program Advisory Committees, content reviewers, curriculum developers, business partners; and, pursuing, securing and administering external funding opportunities to support the program initiatives. Assistant Vice President will provide assistance to the Vice President in daily operations, academic/program administration and, staff supervision within Division, as delegated. This is an at-will position.

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
Minimum qualifications
Master's degree required from an accredited institution in a related area.
Five (5) years of demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility in one or more of the following areas: workforce training, adult/continuing education, workforce or management experience in business/industry at an institution of higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a related area.
Eight (8) years of demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility in one or more of the following areas: workforce training, adult/continuing education, workforce or management experience in business/industry at a Community College.
