The Multifunctional Composites and Manufacturing Laboratory (MCML) specializes in the areas of multifunctional composites approach and additive manufacturing techniques with particular emphasis on space environmental composites, advanced thermoplastic composites, 3D printed composites as well as composite structure analysis, design, mechanical testing and repair techniques. The MCML provides underlying understanding for which aerospace industry-supported research initiative can collaborate on the solution to create high-performance advanced composite structures and materials

The post will involve work in the following field:
• Additive Manufacturing (AM)
- 3D Printed Continuous Fiber Reinforced Composites (Multiscale Modeling and Simulation)
• Composite Structural Analysis, Optimal Design, and Impact Damage Analysis

The successful candidate should have:
• A PhD in the field of Composite Materials or Structures
• Experience in using ABAQUS/LS-DYNA/NASTRAN FEA Software etc.
• Proven relevant research experience
