Overview
Advance College fundraising efforts by fostering a culture of donor-focused stewardship and volunteer engagement opportunities for alumni, College benefactors, members of the faculty, campus partners, and other constituents, with particular focus on the direction and management of several leadership advisory councils.

Duties and Responsibilities


Provide leadership and direction in developing meaningful engagement and stewardship opportunities for volunteers and donors, including an array of leadership councils. Develop strategies to achieve best-in-class stewardship and engagement of Providence College donors and volunteers that make effective use of resources and maximize the benefit of these volunteer roles both to the individuals and to the College. (25%)
Plan and implement bi-annual and executive committee meetings (9-10 per year) of the College's leadership advisory councils in collaboration with committee chairs, campus partners, trustees, and OIA colleagues. (25%)
Provide leadership and management of the stewardship and engagement team. Develop and guide strategy for Stewardship and Donor Engagement, establish goals and metrics for individual performance and hold staff accountable. Motivate the team to accomplish annual goals. (20%)
Foster and sustain positive relationships with campus partners -- especially members of the faculty, the Dominican community, and administrative colleagues -- to strengthen and expand opportunities for engagement with OIA and with College constituents in ways that advance the College's strategic plan and Campaign goals. (10%)
Provide regular outreach, communications, and stewardship to leadership volunteers. (10%)
Create benchmarking for programming and implement metrics-driven goals and sustainable engagement outcomes. Evaluate program goals and objectives against accomplishments. Maintain knowledge of trends in volunteer engagement and educate colleagues regarding best practices. (5%)
Identify, recruit, train, evaluate, and steward volunteers, including but not limited to, individuals who serve on advisory councils. Provide guidance and outreach to volunteer groups, including, reunion volunteers, and class agents. (5%)


MARGINAL DUTIES:

Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience


Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
Five to seven years’ experience in progressively responsible positions within constituent or alumni relations, volunteer development, stewardship, or fundraising, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, leadership, oral, and written communication skills
Strong organizational and decision-making skills
Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office applications, database systems, and social media as communication tools
Availability for frequent evening and weekend work and occasional travel
Valid driver’s license
