Who Are We?
The School of Dentistry (SoD) Dental Informatics IT department is looking for an Information Technology Senior Project Manager to join our team.
Our organization supports faculty, staff, and students across SoD's mission areas, including teaching and learning, patient care, research and discovery, and administration. We manage a diverse IT ecosystem that spans healthcare clinics, classrooms, research labs, conference rooms, and even a museum. What You'll Do:
Senior Level
As an Information Technology Senior Project Manager (with underfill potential at the Intermediate level), you will:
Work as an individual contributor, managing major technology projects, including the Epic Wisdom EHR implementation, while collaborating with project teams and an external implementation firm.
Support change management efforts to promote smooth adoption of new systems and practices.
Lead project planning, scheduling, risk management, and reporting for high-priority plans.
Direct project meetings, facilitate communications, and ensure adherence to compliance and quality standards.
Recommend project adaptations and process improvements, while supporting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Intermediate Level (Underfill)
As an Information Technology Intermediate Project Manager, you will:
Manage assigned project workstreams and provide project coordination for important technology plans, including the Epic Wisdom EHR, under the guidance of IT leadership.
Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, resolve routine issues, assist with change management efforts, and ensure compliance and quality within assigned responsibilities.
Lead meetings, facilitate communications, and prepare reports for leadership, looking for guidance for complex matters.
Support process improvement efforts and contribute to an inclusive and team-focused environment.
Reporting: You will report to the Assistant Director of IT Programs and be accountable to the Chief Information Officer.
Required Qualifications
Senior Level:
Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant project management experience (or equivalent education/experience).
Expertise in leading complex IT projects, preferably in healthcare or higher education.
Experience developing project plans, schedules, and documentation.
Demonstrated experience working with waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Intermediate Level (Underfill):
Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of project management experience (or equivalent education/experience) with demonstrated involvement in IT projects.
Experience supporting complex IT projects, developing schedules, and coordinating resources.
Collaborate as part of a team to achieve project goals and adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated experience working with waterfall and Agile methodologies.
