About the Position
The Chicago School Chicago Campus seeks a faculty member to join our exciting and innovative Department of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for Fall 2025. We train master's and doctoral-level professionals by providing the highest quality training in applied behavior analysis and organizational behavior management.
Ideal applicants will have experience in an ABA specialty area (e.g., organizational behavior management, acceptance and commitment therapy, intellectual disabilities); have proven teaching skills in higher education; have a commitment to scholarship and service; be dedicated to preparing excellent future ABA professionals; and have ABA service delivery experience. This position is primarily for our Chicago campus, but with course lead responsibilities, collaborating with national campus locations.
Principal Duties:
• Teach students at a graduate level in topics related to Applied Behavior Analysis, in face-to-face, synchronous, and asynchronous modalities
• Contribute to curriculum design and departmental development
• Monitor student learning outcomes and progress
• Provide academic advisement and supervision to ABA students
• Chair and act as reader on thesis and dissertation committees
• Interact and communicate successfully with a diverse population
• Further service to The Chicago School through committees
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Possesses the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Strong time management skills
• Manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines while meeting or exceeding expectations
• Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
• Communicates ideas and information effectively in both vocal and written form
• Adapt to changing circumstances, needs, and demands
• Proficiency in MS Office and Canvas learning platforms
Position Qualifications:
• Earned doctoral degree (BCBA-D preferred)
• 2-5 years experience in a higher education setting
• 2-5 years of professional experience in behavior analysis
Compensation & Benefits
This opportunity is budgeted at $$75,000-$85,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
