Job Summary
Provide administrative support to the Director of Patient Education at the Frankel CVC Mardigian Wellness Resource Center (MWRC) and manage the daily operations. Help patients and families access information about health resources using the library collection and online tools from the University of Michigan Health. Support educational committees, workshops, inventory delivery for the patient education folder program, and special projects.

Responsibilities*
Administrative Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Wellness Center, delivering high-quality customer service to all patients and families.
Participate in the recruitment process, orientation, training, and scheduling of student temps and volunteers.
Coordinate Director of Patient Education's schedule and support meeting documentation and travel arrangements.
Coordinate and plan meetings, including agendas and documentation.
Prepare data sheets, presentations, and statistical reports.
Order materials and manage print inventory.
Input data in various automated systems.
Troubleshoot technical issues with office equipment.
Conduct additional tasks and projects as needed.
Patient Education Duties:
Organize and maintain inventories using LEAN principles:
Perform quality checks on patient education materials.
Assemble and deliver educational materials to units.
Streamline processes to reduce order and delivery times.
Purchase necessary educational materials.
Mardigian Wellness Resource Center Duties:
Manage inquiries via counter, phone, and email.
Apply active listening to assist patients and families with their inquiries.
Guide visitors to necessary print and online resources.
Manage library check-in/out processes.
Answer health reference questions and assemble information packages.
Refer patients and families to appropriate support services.
Assist customers with library resources and equipment.
Supervision Received
Receive direct supervision from the Director of Patient Education and guidance from the Librarian of the MWRC.
Supervision Exercised
Provide functional supervision to MWRC students and volunteers alongside the Librarian.
Required Qualifications*
Associate degree or equivalent experience necessary.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong customer service skills with exhibited professionalism.
Excellent organization with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to collaborate effectively while being self-directed.
Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
Capable of handling physical demands associated with transporting materials.
