Position description for THTR 350 (Fall 2025)
Saint Mary's seeks a per-course adjunct faculty member to teach Stage Management in Fall 2025.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:05-11:20am
This course will be taught in person, on campus.
A course in the responsibilities and functions of a stage manager, from the first rehearsal through opening night and beyond. Students develop the skills to run a show in an efficient and positive manner.
Qualifications:
Required: An MFA in Stage Management or Production Management, OR commensurate professional experience (approx 6,000 hours of professional Stage Management experience, Equity or non-Equity). Familiarity with Actors' Equity rules and expectations. Familiarity with EDI initiatives in Theatre, including how they relate to Stage Management practices. Teaching experience is desirable but not required.
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary is $7,447 - $10,308 depending on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
