Job Summary
The Associate Director of Admissions Operations leads the operations, processing, and transfer admissions teams within the Office Undergraduate Admissions. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Associate Director is responsible for developing and implementing efficient, technology-forward processes to intake new undergraduate student applications and materials, provide accurate and consistent application review and transfer credit evaluation, and deliver timely and accurate admission decisions to meet University enrollment goals. The Associate Director is also accountable for ensuring University System of Georgia and institutional policies and procedures are maintained in relation to admission requirements, data quality and reporting, and tuition classification. The Associate Director provides collaborative leadership, exceptional communication, technological expertise, and a commitment to students and education.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
LEAD THE OPERATIONS AND PROCESSING STAFF WITHIN UG ADM: Provide strategic direction and daily leadership for the operations, processing, and transfer staff, including three direct report Assistant Directors. Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and provide ongoing development and mentorship for staff members. Ensure staff are performing to their highest ability to meet goals and complete tasks/projects in a timely manner. Train to ensure staff are knowledgeable of institutional and departmental updates and priorities. Serve as a role model in providing exceptional service to students, families, and colleagues. Serve as a member of the Undergraduate Admissions leadership team, providing leadership and guidance for all departmental staff.
LEAD AND MAINTAIN ADMISSIONS: Develop and manage expedient and efficient application processing plans for multiple student types (first-year, dual enrolled, international, transfer, transient, post-baccalaureate, auditor, former) utilizing Technolutions Slate CRM and integrated systems. Implement processes and criteria for the review and evaluation of all applications, ensuring a fair and consistent process. Lead accurate and timely transfer credit evaluation with special attention to capacity-limited transfer program deadlines, MOUs, and articulation agreements. Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of policies and processes are maintained and regularly updated. Understand technological innovations and harness emerging technologies and new technological investments to support efficiency and best practice in admissions processing. Coordinate admission appeal and conduct review processes that align with institutional goals.
SERVE AS THE DEPARTMENTAL LEAD FOR ADMISSIONS SYSTEMS & INT: Assist in the design, training, and maintenance of application and processing modules of Technolutions Slate CRM. Lead change management, maintenance, testing, and sign off approvals for admissions systems upgrades and implementations, namely with Ellucian Banner SIS. Maintain admission applications within CommonApp and Technolutions Slate CRM. Lead all admissions work with multiple third-party CRM and SIS integrated admissions technologies and systems, including but not limited to: external CAS applications, test score agencies, Axiom, Xtender, Crystal reporting, Parchment, CommonApp, National Student Clearinghouse, etc. Act as primary admissions liaison to institutional Information Technology staff.
MAINTAIN DATA INTEGRITY, STEWARDSHIP AND ACCESS: Develop and monitor reports to find and resolve application and decision discrepancies. Complete NCAA compliance reviews in collaboration with Athletics. Ensure high data quality for USG academic data collection submissions, including assisting institutional professional programs with data submissions. Provide and validate data with Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness for internal and external reporting. Assist the Director of Undergraduate Admissions in their role as institutional Data Steward for undergraduate admissions data, approving and reviewing systems access.
MAINTAIN COMPLIANCE WITH USG AND INSTITUTIONAL POLICIES: Maintain understanding of and compliance with all institution, local, system, and federal policies, regulations and laws regarding admissions processes, software licensing agreements, and FERPA. Develop and maintain departmental admission policies that adhere to and complement USG policies and other institutional and system regulations. Ensure strict compliance and regular audits on all policies concerning USG tuition classification, lawful presence, and tuition waivers.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of four years of progressive experience in a higher education setting to include experience in admissions or admissions related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, five years of progressive experience in college admissions processing and operations. Strong knowledge of and experience in Technolutions Slate CRM. Experience working with Ellucian Banner SIS.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside the regular business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B11
Salary: $56,600/annually - $72,200/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
