Job Summary
Medical Technologists perform testing with human samples and are expected to perform laboratory tests with absolute integrity and the highest possible degree of accuracy, and depending on qualifications and assignment, may supervise other laboratory personnel. Medical Technologists may work in research laboratories under the direction of the GCC CTO Manager.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare human samples for testing, storage and shipping related to research.
Maintain laboratory instruments including calibration; checking the performance, initiates corrective actions and quality assurance program.
Prepare technical reports for sponsors and/or other departments as requested, keep up to date procedures; records and maintain accurate research supplies and specimen logs.
Obtain blood samples by venipuncture.
Provide oversight for new or less skilled laboratory personnel. Responsible for the daily supervision lab personnel.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Science, including course work required to meet academic requirements for eligibility for certification as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists
or
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology and the experience required for full eligibility to take the ASCP (MT) certification examination.

Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Band: B8
Salary: $21.83/hourly - $27.26/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
