Job Description

Primary Purpose of Position
The Executive Assistant to the Executive Director for Student Access & Success plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director. The position involves managing day-to-day operations, scheduling, program coordination, grant management, and other administrative tasks critical to the success of the Department Student Access & Success Programs.

Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling and Calendar Management:
Coordinate and manage the Executive Director’s calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements in collaboration with Business Officer.
Prioritize and organize daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to ensure the efficient use of the Executive Director’s time.
Program Coordination:
Assist in the coordination of various programs under Student Access & Success Programs.
Collaborate with program directors to ensure seamless execution of events, workshops, and initiatives.
Grant Management:
Provide support in the management of grants related to Student Access & Success programs.
Assist in the preparation and submission of grant reports, and documentation.
Departmental Operations:
Facilitate effective communication within the department and with external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and databases for the department.
Assist in the preparation of departmental reports and presentations.
Communication:
Act as a liaison between the Executive Director and internal/external stakeholders.
Draft, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
Develop press releases and marketing related materials for Student Access & Success Programs
Other Duties:
Other Duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with higher education environments and student success programs.
Experience in grant management and coordination.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The mission of the Department of Student Access & Success Programs (SASP) is to provide proactive support services, accommodations, & education/training to increase the postsecondary success rates for students who are first-generation, from a limited-income household and/or have a documented disability.

The vision of the Department of Student Access & Success Programs (SASP) is to be a model office that provides comprehensive support services that engage each component of the college life cycle, ultimately resulting in students having the access necessary for postsecondary success.

The Department of Student Access & Success Programs includes the following units: Student Accessibility Services, First Generation Student Success, Graham High TRIO Upward Bound Program, Person County TRIO Upward Bound Program, TRIO Student Acce[SSS] Program, and TMCF SOAR Program.
Work Hours M-F 8am - 5pm, Occasional Weekends
