Job Summary
Dr. Matthew O'Meara with the University of Michigan Gilbert S. Omenn Department of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics is seeking a Research Lab Tech Senior to provide technical lab support by performing complex laboratory and research related tasks. Acts as specialist on laboratory methods and equipment functions. Performs a variety of tests requiring a high degree of proficiency. Troubleshoots problems and recommends solutions. Evaluates experiment results using statistical and multivariate analysis. May instruct a laboratory academic section in laboratory techniques, instruments, methods, and procedures.

Computational modeling of molecular function. Develop molecular dynamics to model coarse-grained model systems that exhibit complex functional dynamics; deep reinforcement learning methods to explore and control the dynamics; and statistical methods to characterize cause and effect relationships.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in Biophysics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
