Want to shape the future of HR at Sandia Laboratories as our Senior Strategic Talent Management Specialist, where your vision and leadership will enhance our operational excellence and sustain our innovative edge? If so, Sandia’s Human Resources team is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Senior Administrator Human Resources Specialist!

In this role, you will serve as a chief advisor to the Director of Strategic Talent Management, the Chief Human Resources Office, and other senior Human Resources leadership teams, helping inform decisions and navigate challenges, focusing on transforming ideas into actionable plans, fostering collaboration, and driving process improvements.

You will provide partnership, leadership, and support in the implementation of projects, solutions, systems, and processes by assessing risks and developing strategies to address them through the integration of various functions, including human resources to enhance operational excellence across the division.

On any given day, one may be called upon to:

  • Lead the design and development, and partner on the implementation of new and refined HR initiatives that will have enterprise-wide impact, in collaboration with functional partners
  • Lead the execution of projects and initiatives with lab-wide impact that further the effectiveness and integration of Human Resources and the sustainability of Sandia Laboratories
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators to track the progress of initiatives, ensuring they are on track to meet objectives, and regularly report on outcomes and adjust as necessary
  • Break down strategic ideas into specific, actionable steps that involve timelines, define milestones, and allocate resources effectively
  • Lead and ensure HR operational excellence through strategic alignment, process optimization, performance measurement, and continuous improvement to support Sandia Laboratory’s Strategic Plan
  • Provide guidance and support to Human Resources management related to strategic planning and special projects and initiatives while promoting a culture of learning and adaptation
  • Proactively identify internal and external strategic challenges that may impact program or business sustainability, and create and collaborate in the development of corrective action plans

The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.

Salary Range:

$127,400 - $216,600

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or a relevant field, plus 15 years related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or a relevant field
  • Experience with or extensive knowledge in leading the design and implementation of employment related IT solutions through active integration of HR services in alignment with strategic goals
  • Demonstrated experience with organizational change methodologies, practices, and principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the utilization of data analytics for strategy development and deployment
  • Experience with and the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams
  • A self-motivated, positive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and energized by change
  • The ability to work as part of a tightly knit, self-directed team
  • A proven record of acting at tactical and strategic levels in response to constantly evolving events and direction
  • Strong writing, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills

Security Clearance:
