Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

Note: The responsibilities of this position are to teach 5 courses per year or to teach fewer courses but with a commensurate amount of course design or course coordination duties.

Teaching – 95%
● Design and lead courses in computer science and engineering.
● Supervise graduate or undergraduate teaching assistants who support the class, if applicable.
● Coordinate course materials including text books, course packets, exams, etc.
● Hold office hours in order to provide additional support to students.

Miscellaneous – 5%
● Attend applicable departmental meetings
● Collaborate with colleagues on course material or other educational tasks, as appropriate

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

M.S. in Computer Science or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience.
Record of academic achievement, specifically, documented evidence of quality teaching.
Preference will be given to applicants (i) whose area of expertise are in theory, software engineering, object oriented programming and development, machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence, (ii) who have at least two years of teaching and course design experience, and (iii) who have evidence of teaching excellence.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment
