Description of Work
The Career Services Data Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and enhancing data-related processes within the Career Services department. This position is responsible for Tableau report management, survey administration, employer data analytics, project management, student participation tracking, and event support. The role is vital in enabling the department to make informed, data-driven decisions, streamline reporting, and enhance strategic outreach efforts to support career development and employer engagement.

This role requires maintaining and updating existing Tableau reports, ensuring accurate data representation and functionality, while developing new reports to address emerging needs in career services, such as improving data accessibility and accuracy. The coordinator will also manage updates to student outcome related reports and resolve any data discrepancies, working with external resources like the Department of Nebraska Labor to integrate their data into reporting processes. Additionally, the position involves overseeing management, distribution, and analysis of career-related surveys, such as internship and job location development surveys, ensuring proper data collection and survey integrity. The Career Services Data Coordinator will also support career staff by managing and analyzing career fair and employer data within the Handshake platform. They will track employer engagement trends, identify participation gaps, and analyze employer outreach effectiveness to provide actionable insights into engagement strategies. This role includes managing the data calendar to ensure timely execution and tracking of critical surveys like the FDS and coordinating and tracking timelines for data-related projects to ensure deadlines are met. The coordinator will also assist colleges and departments in collecting and reporting data from student appointments, career fairs, and other career-related reporting, contributing to improved participation tracking. As part of the event support, the coordinator will assist with the setup and breakdown of career fairs and events, as well as provide assistance during events to ensure smooth operations.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, data management, statistics, business analytics, or related field and one year of experience with Tableau and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional organization and communication skills.
Demonstrated data visualization and analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a university or educational setting, familiarity with student information systems, and experience in marketing.
Experience with relational databases, SQL, and Python.
