A leasing agent will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants with the leasing process, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that all leasing goals are met for The Landing at Marshall University between the University and the renter. The leasing agent is responsible for assisting the Property Manager with marketing property, conducting tours, processing applications, and maintaining positive relationships with residents. While this position will primarily work during business hours from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, the job may require a modified work schedule which could include evening and weekend work at various times.

· Leasing and Sales
o Greet and assist prospective residents with inquiries regarding available units.
o Conduct property tours, highlighting features and amenities.
o Explain lease terms, community policies, and pricing.
o Follow up with leads and maintain accurate records of prospects.
o Prepare and execute lease agreements and addendums while ensuring compliance.
o Collaborates with the Property Manager on lease renewals and special events.

· Marketing and Outreach
o Assist with advertising and promoting available units through various platforms.
o Participate in community outreach and resident engagement activities.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor offerings.
o Manage social media accounts.
o Participate in move-in day, move-out day, open house events, tour weekends, and other major events as needed.

· Resident Relations:
o Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with residents.
o Address resident concerns and work with management to resolve issues.
o Conduct move-in and move-out inspections.
o Assist in the creation and implementation of satisfaction surveys periodically.

· Front Desk Operations:
o Assist in hiring and training of Student staff desk employees
o Create semester and holiday break schedules

· Administrative Duties:
o Process rental applications, verify eligibility, and coordinate lease signings.
o Maintain accurate records of leases, renewals, and resident communications.
o Assist in collecting rent payments and enforcing lease policies.
o Complete daily deposits to the University.
o Maintain current information of property, including size, special features, expiration of existing leasing agreements, and pricing.
o Coordinate service requests and correspond with maintenance and housekeeping staff regarding apartment needs.
o Assist in supervision of front desk student staff
o Create front desk schedules for the academic year and break periods

Salary Range $27,000-$36,410: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and internal equity.

Associates Degree
Experience
· Previous experience in leasing or sales preferred.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel.
· Proficient in social media marketing.
· Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing best practices is a plus.
- Ability to notice and pay attention to details.

Experience working in a university environment.
