About Our Team:
The Materials Aging & Lifetimes, At Risk Materials, & Granta Department (1854) provides leadership for the Aging and Lifetimes program for NA-115 and the At Risk Materials program for NA-193. The department focuses on the science of accelerated aging in stockpile qualification, and surveillance. Our primary A&L program objective is to detect, assess, and predict age-related changes in the legacy and modern stockpile systems. Investments are made in the areas of component and material evaluation, predictive capabilities (including materials, component and system-level age-aware models), new system test equipment (for use at KCNSC and WETL) and new materials (in support of the Technical Basis for Stockpile Transformation Planning (TBSTP)).
