The College of Business (COB) has been AACSB accredited for over 40 years. We offer BSBA, MBA, and MSA degrees and our School of Hospitality Management offers both a BS in Hospitality Management and an MS in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. Additionally, the Miller School of Entrepreneurship offers a BS in Entrepreneurship. We are one of the largest Colleges of Business in the state with approximately 4,200 undergraduate and 900 graduate students. To date, the COB has approximately 150 faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. Job Duties
The temporary part-time Technology Support Technician provides support for all College of Business information technology based systems, including hardware, software applications, operating systems, and networking. The position provides first-line technical support for computers, printers, monitors and other hardware for College of Business faculty and staff. The position assists with finding solutions to software issues as they arise, working with the Technology, Information, and Operations group to triage problems and crowd-source solutions. The position will support current student workers to manage incoming tickets in Team Dynamix, addressing issues as they arise and coordinating with the team with any problems that are outside of their scope. The position is the first-line support for receiving, deploying, and surplusing all College technology assets. This includes accurate record keeping using the College’s proprietary technology inventory database and other tracking systems, assisting in the College’s annual physical inventory count, maintaining proper documentation for all purchasing, and compliance with all Fixed Assets Department’s rules and regulation.
Minimum Education/Experience
Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the position’s role. Computer coursework may be substituted year-for- year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Journey level requires an additional six months experience. Advanced level requires an additional one year of experience.
