Job Description
The College of Arts & Sciences at Dakota State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, term, Instructor of History. The start date of this position is Fall 2025.
Note: This is a temporary one-year position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of an MA in history or a closely related field is required; PhD preferred.
Ability to teach undergraduate students in both face-to-face and online environments.
Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will be expected to teach some combination of general education courses in US and Western or World history as well as a new course in American civics.
Additional duties may include teaching upper division courses, serving on university committees, assisting with recruitment activities and/or engaging in ongoing assessment.
