The School of Aviation (https://www.ou.edu/ags/aviation) at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for an Unranked Renewable Term Instructor/Lecturer position. The School is housed within the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences. In addition to the School of Aviation, the College comprises the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability and the School of Meteorology. We offer innovative and multi-disciplinary education, research, and outreach programs in an environment that empowers students, faculty, and staff to seek solutions to grand environmental and humanitarian challenges; to advance technology and propel knowledge, and to develop engaged individuals for rewarding careers in the following: private sector, academia, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and entrepreneurship. The School of Aviation prepares graduates for careers in air traffic control, commercial, corporate, or military aviation and prepares business-focused graduates for non-flying careers in aerospace. In short, we craft the future of the land and skies.
As part of a 5-position cluster hire initiative in aviation, we seek an innovative scholar committed to advancing education and scholarship in aviation to support the expansion of the OU School of Aviation, which is facilitated by significant investments into a new fleet of aircraft and buildings.
The teaching load will be 3 plus 3. Scholarship is encouraged.

The successful applicant will have experience (academic and/or work employment) in one or more of the following areas of interest.
Unmanned Aerial Systems
Human Factors
Aviation Psychology
Program Management in Aviation/Aerospace Contracts
Legal/Policy Decisions in the Federal or State Government
Aerospace Logistics
Aerospace Security
Aerospace Safety
The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in any of the listed areas. Five or more years of experience is highly valued.
The applicant's minimum educational level is a master's degree in a related field. Applicants with a terminal degree in a related field are desired.
