Job Summary
Direct and manage desktop engineering and related infrastructure to support Windows and macOS endpoints at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Responsibilities
Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) administration
Application lifecycle management including deployments, upgrades, and removals
Application packaging
Coordinate and deploy OS software updates
Create and maintain standard OS images
Inventory reporting & analysis
Create and maintain Active Directory group policy
Document configurations, procedures, and guidelines
Monitoring health and security of clients and servers
Other duties as assigned

Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required
Nearly Continuously: Office environment.
Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required
Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.
Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.
Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalent work experience
2+ years SCCM backend hierarchy administration experience
Hands-on experience in application packaging and deployment, software updates deployment, and the creation of standard OS images
Strong troubleshooting skills with initiative to deep dive into problems to identify root cause
PowerShell scripting experience
Requires demonstrable communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven ability to work in a team environment, with both other IT professionals and with customer groups
A high level of interpersonal skill and the ability to work within a varied, demanding environment
Must be extremely detail-oriented
Preferences
Experience with Microsoft Intune
Experience with macOS mobile device management
SQL querying & reporting experience
