Job Function:

Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes; direct all phases of the women’s soccer program.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Education:

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum Experience:

At least three years of coaching experience.

Preferred Experience:

Five years of coaching experience at the collegiate level.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes.
Perform duties in all areas of the program at the direction of the athletic director or sport supervisor.
Successfully plan, develop and administer all phases of the women’s soccer program.
Perform proper administration of the budget; includes prepare and manage it in a fiscally sound manner.
Schedule team travel; coordinate travel arrangements.
Recruit and select athletes; select grant-in-aid recipients; support the retention of student-athletes.
Direct scouting and pre-competition evaluation of opponents.
Support the promotion and marketing of the program; includes public speaking, camps, clinics, special projects, and dealing with alumni.
Work with the athletic communications department and the media in increasing visibility of the program.
Select, supervise and evaluate assistant coach(s).
Direct and coordinate with University College the successful progress of the student-athletes.
Show commitment to and responsibility for, adherence to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference and the NCAA; pass the NCAA certification examination on an annual basis.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
